RTE Karnataka 2021 application form is available in March 2021.

  • RTE Karnataka 2021 School Registration will start on 20th December 2020.

Eligibility Criteria for RTE Karnataka 2021-22 Admission:

  • An applicant who wants to apply for RTE admission must be a permanent resident of Karnataka State.
  • For RTE Admission to nursery or LHG students, the candidate should have born between 01-08-2015 and 01-08-2016. This means the age should be in the range of 3 years 10 months to 4 years 10 months.
  • For RTE Admission Grade 1 or 1st class students, the candidate should have born between 01-08-2013 and 01-08-2014. This means the age should be in the range of 5 years 10 months to 6 years 10 months.
  • An income of the applicant’s family should not cross 3.5 lakhs from all the working sources. Such sources are allowed under RTE admission.
  • An applicant should belong to the weaker section or backward class of society or lower caste group to apply for RTE Karnataka Admission.
  • An applicant should belong to the weaker group of society such as HIV infected child, orphans, transgender, physically challenged child, migrant child, special need child, etc. to apply for RTE Karnataka Admission.
  • Children of Government Employees are eligible to apply for RTE Admission.

Documents Needed for RTE Karnataka 2021-22 Admission:

  1. Aadhar card of the applicant (If Aadhar card is not available, then you need to submit the applied Aadhar card application number)

RTE Karnataka 2021-22 Admission Procedure:

  • After receiving all the application forms of the applicants, the official authority will scrutinize all the applicants’ forms. After scrutinizing all the application forms, the official authority will select only a few applicants for RTE admission.
  • For the reference of the applicants, the authority of Karnataka will prepare the list of selected candidates for providing admission.
  • The official authority will update the list of nominated candidates on the official website for the reference of parents.
  • Now, parents have to visit the official website for referring to the nomination list. Only nominated applicants are eligible to get the RTE admission in private schools.
  • Once the official authority releases the nomination list, it will allot seats for the students in private schools. Based on the vacancies in different private schools, the authority will allot seats.
  • In the case of less number of seats in the private schools than the number of applications applied for RTE admission, the official authority will use the lottery system for allocating seats.
  • The State Education Department is eligible to conduct the lottery system for providing admission to the applicants. Soon after the official authority allocates seats for applicants, they need to report to the allotted school at the right date and time. Then, the further procedure is carried out.
  • Applicants need to carry all the necessary documents to the allotted school for verification. At the reporting time, applicants need to carry all original and attested copies of mandatory documents to the school.

Age Limit Guidelines for RTE Admission Karnataka:

  1. For Pre-schooling or LKG classes, children should fall in the age group of between 3 years 10 months and 4 years 10 months.
  2. For 1st Standard or 1st grade, children should fall in the age group of between 5 years 10 months and 6 years 10 months.

RTE Karnataka Admission – Registration Process:

Step 1: Applicants who are interested in admission need to visit the official website http://www.schooleducation.kar.nic.in/pryedn/rteadmissions.html

Step 2: You need to apply for a one-time registration to get your application number. You will get the application number and password on your registered mobile number and email ID.

Step 3: Once you get your application number, log in to your account using credentials. Provide all the mandatory details.

Step 4: Try to locate the neighboring school address that is available within 1 KM or 1-3KM range from your house.

Step 5: After choosing the school, you need to select the required class to apply for.

Step 6: You need to upload all the mandatory documents before submitting the application form.

Step 7: Finally, submit your application and take the printout of the same along with the needed documents.

RTE Karnataka Rules:

As per the RTE Karnataka rules, the students will get seats in the private schools based on certain rules and conditions:

  1. Children whose parents’ annual income is less than or equal to 1 Lakh will get the first preference.
  2. Children whose parents’ annual income is between l Lakh and 3.5 lakhs will get the second preference.
  3. If the number of applications is less from the SC category children, then the children belonging to the ST category will get the preference.
