The Right to Education Act (RTE) or Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act is an education act of India. It is implemented on 4 August 2009 that helps children to receive a quality education. According to this act, every child should get an education irrespective of their caste background. This act also includes the drop out of students from the school.

This scheme is available in the Gujarat State to give educational facilities to all students. Students of Gujarat who can’t pay their school fees can get an education. One can get this scheme in most schools of Gujarat. To apply for this scheme, students need to fill and apply for an RTE admission. After submitting the application form, students can get the benefit of paying a lesser amount of fees.

RTE Gujarat Online Admission Form:

Here are the key points related to the RTE Gujarat Online Admission.

  • Before the last date of admission, parents must submit the admission form.
  • The admission process will happen in 3 different rounds.
  • Once the first round of RTE Admission is over, parents can apply for the second round of RTE Gujarat Admission 2021.

Eligibility Criteria for RTE Gujarat Admission:

To apply for this scheme in RTE Gujarat, the applicants should meet the following eligibility conditions:

Age Criteria: Students should have born between 2 June 2015 and 1 June 2016.

Annual Income Criteria for Parents: The annual income criteria decide the eligibility for this scheme

  • For ST/SC category, the annual income should be Rs. 2 lakhs per annum
  • For the OBC category, the annual income should be Rs. 1 Lakh per annum
  • For the General category, the annual income should be Rs. 68,000 per annum

Age Limit Guidelines for RTE Gujarat:

RTE Gujarat Admission 2021 is now allowing the invitation of application form for students in Gujarat. For getting admission, the children should have the following age limit

  • For 1st standard admissions – Children’s age should be between 5 years 5 months and 7 years.
  • For Pre-schooling or LKG admissions – Children’s age should be between 3 years 5 months and 5 years.
  • According to this act, children who are between the age of 6 and 14 years have the right to get free education in Gujarat.
  • The above age limit applies to the children from the year 2015-2016.

List of Required Documents for RTE Gujarat:

Here is the list of documents that one may require to apply for this scheme.

  • Address Proof – Passport or Driving license or Aadhar card or Electricity bill or Election card or Water bill or Ration card or Rental agreement
  • Birth Certificate – Gram Panchayat or Nagar Palika, Balwadi Registration Certificate or Notarized Parents Affidavit, Anganwadi or Birth or Hospital Registration Certificate
  • Guardianship Certificate – Social Welfare Officer or Certificate of Mamlatdar Shri, Competent Authority or Taluk Development Officer
  • Parent’s Income Certificate – For old income, the Mamlatdar certificate from the Taluk Development Officer or competent authority is valid.
  • Photograph – Passport-sized photograph of applicants
  • NDNT – Certificate from Mamlatdar, Taluka Development Officer, Social Welfare Officer, or Competent Officer
  • Orphaned Child – Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Certificate
  • A Child in Need of Care – Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Certificate
  • Children belonging to Childcare or Kindergarten Institution – Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Certificate
  • CWSN – Certificate from Civil Surgeon
  • HIV infected Children – Certificate from Civil Surgeon
  • Children Of Martyred Soldiers – Certificate from the related department.
  • Child Aadhar card – Child Aadhar Card Xerox Copy
  • Children with Mentally Challenged Cerebral Palsy Condition – Certificate from Civil Surgeon
  • Guardian’s Aadhar Card – Parent’s Aadhar Card Xerox Copy
  • Bank Details – Child or parent’s passbook Xerox copy
  • Child Labor/Children of migrating Laborers  – Labor & Employment Dept Certificate or Certificate of Child Welfare Committee (CWC) of district in Gujarat
  • BPL – Parents lying in the BPL score of 0-20 should submit the certificates.

For Rural area: Taluk Development Officer Certificate, District Rural Development Agency Certificate

For Urban area:

  1. For Municipal Corporation: Certificate from the Deputy Municipal commissioner or competent officer.
  2. For Municipality: Certificate from Municipality Chief Officer.
  3. For Notified area: Certificate from Administrative Officer or Chief Executive Officer

In urban areas, if the applicant is not having BPL 0-20 score, then he/she will have to submit the BPL certificate. In such a certificate, there should be a specification of BPL no under the BPL list by the competent authority. BPL ration card is not needed for the BPL category.

Registration Process – RTE Gujarat Admission 2021-22:

One has to register the application form within the last date of application submission on the Government portal website https://rte.orpgujarat.com/.

Filling RTE Form Online:

Step 1: Go to the official website portal of RTE Gujarat Admission i.e. https://rte.orpgujarat.com/.

Step 2: Click on the option “Online Application” on the homepage.

Step 3: Select the tab “New Application” if you registering for the first time in RTE.

Step 4: If you are already registered in the RTE, provide the details such as registration number and date of birth.

Step 5: Enter the mandatory details such as

  • Child’s Name
  • Child’s Aadhar card ID
  • Child’s Date of birth
  • Parents’ Name
  • Parents’ Aadhar ID Number
  • Parents’ PAN ID Number
  • Parents’ Education
  • Parents’ Occupation
  • Child’s Bank Information

Step 6: Once you fill the application form, you will get an application or registration ID and use the same ID for future reference.

Step 3: Now, you will get a page where you need to provide the details such as Application Number and Date of Birth.

RTE Gujarat Admit Card 2020-21:

All students who appear in the RTE Gujarat examination have to download the hall ticket. Students have to show the hall ticket as it is a gateway for them. To download the admit card, you need to provide the date of birth and application number.

Result of RTE Gujarat 2020-21 Selection Process:

Once you submit the online application form to the Directorate of the School, the selection process will take place. You will get the result list on the website. To check your result, you need to log in using the details such as username and password.

School allocation may occur based on the following priority categories:

  1. Orphan Child
  2. A child who needs care and protection
  3. LKG or Kindergarten Children
  4. Children working as labor or migrant labor
  5. Children suffering from cerebral palsy or mental retardation.
  6. Physically challenging children or paralyzed children
  7. HIV infected children
  8. Children belonging to the family whose members are of military or police personnel martyred during the duty time
  9. Children belonging to BPL families of certain categories such as SC, ST, General, SEBC, etc
  10. Children belonging to lower caste groups such as Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) group
  11. Children belonging to socially and educationally backward classes or nomadic and liberated caste children nomadic and deprived Castes or other backward classes. Such children will get priority in RTE admission.
  12. Children belonging to the General Category / Non-Reserved Class will get space in the first ranked school. Parents have the right to choose the school of their interest. Finally, they will get seats from the selected school.

How to check the RTE Gujarat School List?

Parents can check the school list in Gujarat to check for RTE admission. To check the schools’ list, you need to follow the below steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website portal of RTE Gujarat Admission i.e. https://rte.orpgujarat.com/.

Step 2: Once you open the official website, you need to enter the information such as district, ward, block, and name, etc.

Step 3: Now, click the option “Search”.

Step 4: Finally, you will get the list of schools in your chosen area on the screen. You can choose the school of your choice and apply for the RTE application.

Which School will you get admission in?

Based on the category and income priorities, you will get the school selection order. If your first choice school or rank 1st school is not having seats, then you will get admission in the rank 2nd school. Again, if the seats of the rank 2nd school are full, then you will get admission to the rank 3rd school. Based on this process, you will get the allocation of schools.
