No deviation from the above schedule shall be permitted. Each school shall display the aforesaid admission schedule on its notice board and website. Further each school shall ensure that application forms for admission are made available to all applicants till the last date of submission of admission’s application form i.e. 27/12/2019. Only Rs. 25/- (Non-refundable) can be charged from the parents as admission registration fee. The purchase of prospectus of the school by the parents shall be optional.

Earlier the admission process was absolutely free but this year in 2020 the govt. is charging Rs. 25 from the parents which is non-refundable.
Essential Documents for EWS Admission Delhi 2020
Now the DoE has announced the admission starts and end date, if you have not prepared any documents for the ews nursery admission do it fast below is the comprehensive list of documents which is required at the time of registration for ews admission in private schools of Delhi.
- Ration Card/Smart Card issued in the name of parents (Mother/Father having
name of child).
- Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents.
- Voter I-Card (EPIC) of any of the parents.
- Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/Water bill/Passport in the name of any
of the parents or child.
- Aadhaar Card/UID card issued in the name of any of the parents.
- Birth certificate under the Birth. Death and Marriage Certificate Act. 1969.

Eligibility Criteria for EWS Admission Delhi?
You should be a residence of Delhi and your annual income should not be more than Rs. 1 Lakh Rupees. Apart from the general category, there is a reservation of 25% who would not need to pay the fees. In case you belongs to Disadvantage Group you don’t need to provide income proof / certificate for the admission and your children is also eligible for the admission but his / her age should be between 3-6 years.
EWS Admission Age Limit Guidelines for Kids
For Pre-School or Nursery
For pre-school (nursery): Less than 4 years as on March 31 of the year in which the admission is sought.
For Pre-Primary or KG
For pre-primary (KG): Less than 5 years as on March 31 of the year in which the admission is sought.
For Class I
For class 1: Less than 6 years as on March 31 of the year in which the admission is sought.

You don’t have to visit any school or govt. office for admission form you can get it online and the only method to apply for ews & dg category is online which can be done via the official website of Directorate of Education Delhi edudel.nic.in.
How to Register & Apply for EWS & DG Admission Delhi Online
The registration and apply both are the different section in the registration section you have to register with the basic details once the registration process is done you have to apply for your kids for nursery, kg or class 1 as per your kids age both the process is shared in detail here.
EWS Registration Process
Step 1: First of all you have to visit the official site of Directorate of Education (DOE) www.edudel.nic.in
Step 2: On the home page you can see te following link “EWS / DG Admissions and EWS / Freeship Admissions” Click on it and then click on “Registration for New User (Nursery/Pre-School to Class-1)” option.
Step 3: Now select the Class in which you want to register also fill your personal details in this page you will also have to disclose you proof of income for EWS category so please make your income certificate for registration.
Step 4: Finally click on Register button a pop-up box will be appear click on Ok button to submit your details.
Step 5: Now you will see registration number and password on the screen note it down or take its print for future. You will also receive these details on the phone number provided in the form so use the active number.
Note: You cannot edit the information after registration so please enter the correct information to your knowledge.
EWS Admission Apply Process
After the successful registration now you are able to fill application form online on the basis of last year form format we are sharing this information before you start filling ews/dg nursery admission form for the session 2018-19 please carry your registration number and password with you because without it you can’t fill the application form.
How to Fill EWS/DG Application Form Online??
Step 1 – In the first form you have to provide the applicant details such as Parents/Guardian, Residential Address, Locality, Sub-Locality, Pin code and Proof of Present Residential Address. After filling click on Click Preview if everything is ok click on Submit and move to 2nd step.
Step 2 – In this step you will see the nearby school in 0-1 km distance from your residence. Click on the ‘Add’ button to select them according to your preference. You can select as many schools as you want. Now, click on submit button. Applicants can also ‘delete’ and ‘modify’ the selected schools.
Step 3 – In step 3 you will see the list of school in range of 1-3 km and do as you did in step 2.
Step 4 – In 4th step you will school under 3-6 km follow the same instruction as done above.
Step 5 – Now in 5th step there is a list of schools above 6 Km from your residence follow the same procedure as you did above in step 2,3 & 4. You can only select maximum of five schools in this step.
Step 6 – This is final step you will see the complete application form with details filled by you if all the details are ok click on “Final Submit” button. Please remember no changes will be made after final submission.
Congratulations you have successfully applied for your kids and now wait for the result please remember once you applied can’t edit your details so be careful while filling the application form.
How to Correct or Delete EWS Nursery Admission Form
However due to any reason if you have entered any incorrect detail or mentioned wrong name, address or wrong spelling don’t worry you can correct it for this you have to do follow some simple steps which are:
Step 1: First of all you have to access the official site of DOE: Edudel.nic.in
Step 2: Here you have to click on “EWS / DG Admissions and EWS / Freeship Admissions” link
Step 3: Here scroll down to option 3 “For Deletion of Registration / Application Form” and click on it
Step 4: Here you will 2 options “Request for Deletion” & “Delete Data EWS/DG Admission” respectively.
Step 5: First you have to click on “Request for Deletion” and an form will appear as shown in below image you have to provide Registration Number, Class, Registered Mobile Number, Student (DOB), Aadhaar Number of the Students, Aadhaar Number Enrolment Number.
Step 6: You will receive the OTP on your registered mobile number which will be use in the next step.
Step 7: Now you have to click on option 2nd “Delete Data EWS/DG Admission” again you have to provide the Registration Number & Mobile OTP which you have received on your mobile number, the below example image will help you better on this.
Step 8: After entering the details click on “Delete” button.
Step 9: Congratulations, your data is deleted successfully.
Now, you can register again without any fear of duplication and this time make sure you have submitted all the details correctly.

How to Check EWS Admission Result 2020
You can check the result online yourself as per the latest official notification the first list of selected students will be uploaded on the website as on 24th Jan 2020 which can check view via following steps:
- First you have to access the official website of DOE which is: edudel.nic.in
- Now you can see “EWS / DG Admissions”
- Scroll down to point 4 “EWS/DG Admission Grievances / Result 2020-21”
- Now you need to fill the registration number and date of birth of your child
- Press submit and you will see the appropriate message either your child selected or not.
You don’t need to worry if you could not found the name of your child in first list just wait for the 2nd list who knows you are the lucky one and got selected unfortunately you are not selected in any of the school don’t worry you can still take admission under general category in which you have to pay admission fee and monthly fee as well.

Q.1. What is the meaning of EWS/DG Category?
Ans:- EWS stands for Economically Weaker Section and DG stands for Disadvantaged Group.
Q.2. What is the meaning of ONLINE ADMISSIONS of EWS & DG Category?
Ans:- It means that application form for admissions of EWS/DG Category shall be filled through the website of Education Department, Govt of NCT of Delhi i.e www.edudel.nic.in
Q.3. What is the name of the link on the website of the department?
Ans:- The name of the link is ‘EWS/DG Admissions’ which is available on the main page www.edudel.nic.in
Q.4. What is the procedure for filling the admission form under EWS/DG category in Private Unaided Recognized schools of Delhi?
Ans:- Click the link ‘EWS/DG Admissions’ and read the instructions carefully, get registered, complete application form, take print out and wait for the date of draw of lots which will be announced in due course of time.

Q.6. In which of the schools, online admission of EWS/DG category can be sought?
Ans:- All Private Unaided Recognized Schools of Delhi (Except Minority) recognized by Directorate of Education under the Delhi School Education Act & Rules, 1973. The list of such schools along with the available entry level class can be seen on “EWS/DG Admissions” link.
Q.7. In which class EWS/DG Admissions can be sought online ?
Ans:- This online module has been designed only for admission under EWS/DG category in any of the Entry Level Class i.e Nursery/Pre-School, KG/Pre-primary and Class-I.
Q.8. What percentage of seats under EWS/DG category is available in a school?
Ans:- At least 25% of total seats at the entry level class of a school.
Q.9. Who comes under EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category?
Ans:- A Child whose parents annual family income from all sources is less than one lakh rupees.
Q.10. Who comes under the DG (Disadvantaged Group) category?
Ans:- A child belonging to –
i. Scheduled Caste
ii. Scheduled Tribe
iii. OBC (Non-Creamy layer)
iv. Child with special needs suffering from disability, as defined in ‘Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995’.
v. Orphans as defined in Juvenile Justice Act
(There is no need to submit any income certificate for these categories as no income limit is prescribed for them.)
Q.11. What are the documents required for EWS/DG category?
Ans:- For EWS:-
Income- Certificate issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of
Tehsildar or BPL/AAY/ Food Security Card issued by Food and Civil Supply
Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
(i) SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) certificate issued by Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar of Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
(ii) Children with Special Needs/Disabled: – Certificate issued by Govt. Hospital
(iii) Orphan and Transgender: – Documentary evidence.
Q.12. If I have BPL/AAY/Food Security Card, then is it necessary to have income certificate to apply under EWS category?
Ans:- No. Only one of these documents is required.
Q.13. I have BPL card but the name of the child is not mentioned. Can I apply under EWS category?
Ans:- The name of the child must be there on the BPL card. Please get it added to apply.
Q.14. I have Food Security Card but it does not have any date of issue. How can I proceed online?
Ans:- Filling the date of issue is not mandatory in case of Food Security Card. You can proceed without filling it also.
Q.15. I have the caste certificate but my child does not have the same. Can I apply for admission under DG category?
Ans:- Yes, you can apply on the basis of your caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC- Non Creamy, whichever applicable) provided that it has been issued by the Revenue Department (DC/DM office), GNCT of Delhi.
Q.16. My caste certificate has been issued by another State. Will it be valid for admission of my ward under DG category?
Ans:- No. The caste certificate has to be issued by the Revenue Department (DC/DM office), GNCT of Delhi.
Q.17. If the validity of my Income certificate has expired, then how can I apply?
Ans:- The validity of your Income certificate is mentioned on the certificate itself. If it has expired, then you can apply afresh to Revenue Department for issue of new Income certificate and then use the ”Applied For” option in the Online application and then apply using the receipt/application number of the Income certificate.
Q.18. My income/caste certificate has not been issued yet. It is still under process. Then how can I apply?
Ans:- Use the”Applied For” option in the online application and then apply using the receipt/application number of the Income/Caste certificate.
Q.19. I do not have any proof of Date of Birth of my child. How can I apply?
Ans:- A written declaration/undertaking from parents about the date of birth is treated as a valid proof of date of birth of the child.
Q.20. In my Income certificate, my income has been wrongly mentioned as slightly greater than Rs. 1 lakh. In the birth certificate, some of the details of my child have been wrongly mentioned. How can I apply?
Ans:- You must contact the competent authorities for necessary corrections in your documents before filling the online application.
Q.21. What are the documents that can be considered as proof of address?
Ans:- i) Ration card issued in the name of parents having name of child in Ration Card.
ii) Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents.
iii) Voter I-Card (EPIC) of any of the parents.
iv) Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/Water bill
v) Unique Identity Card (Aadhaar) of mother/father/child issued by Govt. of India.
vi) Passport in the name of any of the parents or child.
Rent Agreement is not a valid proof of address.
Q.22. What are the documents that can be considered as proof of Birth?
Ans:- (i) Birth certificate under the Birth, Death and Marriage Certificate Act, 1969.
(ii)Hospital/Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (ANM) register record.
(iv)Declaration of age of the child by the parents or guardian.
Q.23. Is income certificate necessary for DG Category?
Ans:- No. Income certificate is not required for DG Category.
Q.24. What is the age criteria for EWS/DG admission in Entry Level Classes?
Ans:- (i) Nursery/Pre-school:- Not less than 3 years as on 31.03.2018.
(ii) KG/Pre-Primary:- Not less than 4 years as on 31.03.2018.
(iii) Class-I: – Not less than 5 years as on 31.03.2018.
(Relaxations of one year in maximum age in case of differently abled)
Q.25. Whether a candidate of EWS/DG category can also apply under General/Open seats?
Q.26. If I qualify for both EWS and DG category, then under which category should I apply?
Ans:- Any one category of your choice.
Q.27. Will there be disclosure of seats in different entry level classes?
Ans:- Yes, at the time of selecting the schools while applying online, the vacancies are also shown.
Q.28. I have two children/twins. Then what is the procedure of filling online form?
Ans:- Please fill separate online applications for both children.
Q.29. How would I know in which of the schools I have applied? Will I have choice of schools after Registration?
Ans:- After registration, the applicant has to fill the application form. In the application form, the applicant has to select & give priority to the schools in different distance ranges. Once the complete form is filled & submitted, the details of all the information including the schools opted by the applicant shall be displayed on the screen. Please take printout for future reference.
Q.30. How can I find the nearest Private Unaided Recognized Schools from his residence? How many schools can I select?
Ans:- Using login ID/Registration No. and Password, Step-I page opens on the screen showing all the details filled in the registration form. One has to fill the residential address and thereafter choose the correct Locality/Sub-Locality/Sub-Sub Locality of his residence from the Drop Down list and submit the details to know the nearest schools in different ranges (0-1, 1-3, 3-6, >6 Kms.) in Step-2 to Step-5 button.
If Locality/Sub-Locality/Sub-Sub-Locality where one resides is not available in the drop down menu, then choose the nearest Locality/Sub-Locality/Sub-Sub-Locality from the drop down list.
You can select any number of schools shown till 6 Kms but maximum 5 schools beyond 6 Kms.
Q.31. Can one change/modify the information after submitting the online application?
Ans:- Yes. For this purpose, use the link for the deletion of existing application form provided on the main link ‘EWS/DG Admissions’. Follow the instructions given on the deletion page and after successfully deleting the existing application, fill the form afresh. Please note here that after deletion, your existing registration number stands invalid for the admission process.
Q.32. What should I do to obtain my registration ID/Password again?
Ans:- Go to the Login page of the module EWS/DG Admissions and click the link “Forgot ID/Password”, and follow the further instructions.
Q.33. After successful submission of the application form, do I need to go and submit the copy of the application form to each and every school I opted for?
Ans:- No, as of now there is no need to submit hard copy of application form individually in the opted schools. Just take a print out after final online submission and keep it for future reference.
Q.34. How the admissions of EWS/DG Children shall be conducted online for the Private Unaided Recognized Schools of Delhi?
Ans:- It shall be done through Computerized Lottery/ Draw of Lots System.
Q.35. When the draw of EWS/DG Quota will be held? Where can I see the list of selected students under EWS /DG quota? How will I get to know that my child is selected in which school? Will the School contact us or Directorate of education will tell us that whether my child has been selected or not selected?
Ans:- Please wait for the draw of lots. Instructions in this regard shall be issued in due course of time. After the computerized lottery, results will be in public domain and you will get to know that your child has been selected in which school.
Q.36. I have filled the online application. What do I have to do next? Do I need to send the printed form anywhere? Do I have to fill any other form manually or any other form on school website? How will I submit the required documents?
Ans:- After filling online application, please wait for the draw of lots, instructions for which shall be issued in due course of time. Please keep the print for future reference. You don’t have to send the printed form anywhere. You don’t have to fill any other form for EWS/DG category admission in the DSEAR schools as listed on the main link ‘EWS/DG Admissions’. After draw of lots, the required documents will have to be submitted later in the school concerned for completion of admission procedure.
Q.37. Whether offline EWS/DG admissions is also allowed in the school where online admission is being processed?
Q.38.If you are facing any of the following issues, then in all probability, it might be browser issue.
(i) First name not getting accepted in the registration form.
(ii) Step-2 page not opening.
(iii) Login problem/Not able to access the Login page.
(iv) Number and Date of certificates like income/caste etc., not getting accepted.
(v) Problem in adding any school.
(vi) Income digits not getting accepted.
